Mom - new hair

My mom has always been trendy, no thanks to my Dad. This time she had to sneak off to Chicago to find someone cool enough to cut her hair.

FISHERS RUNDOWN

The fishers rundown

Fishers, IN has turned into quite the restaurant area since I moved in here. When I first arrived their was Sahm’s and a Greek restaurant (and not much else). Too bad, the greek restaurant has since folded – but we have a lot of new options in the area

Ethnic
Dami – (just south of 116th on Allisonville rd) Korean/ Japanese. Decent Suschi but I go for the Korean food . . . good stuff. Though you may pass on the “green tea” (unless you like the Japanese –earthy- tea).

Mahraja (just south of 116th on Allisonville rd) Located close to Dami this Indian restaurant is one of my favorites. Their buffet is decent, and the Mango Lassi is fantastic.

Irene German Market (116th and Fishers Point, next to McAllister’s deli) Walking distance from my house, this place is the kind of place you just want to succeed –small guy with a small restaurant. My parents loved the food, but I did not like the fact that they pre-fried the snitzel and then warmed it up.

Fiona Mchools (116th and Fishers point, but on the west side of fishers pt). Though they do have a smoking section (BOOOHH, BOOOHH), it is nice to have a place with Guinness on tap. This is a quasi-irish place (i.e no lamb in the shepherds pie –what the F’ they think Irish people shepherd anyway?). Good Food though, and bands on the weekend.

Family
McAllister’s deli (116th and Fishers Point – across from post office). This is a decent chain that serves better sandwiches then Panrea, and great soups. The sweet ice tea is worth stocking up on (6.00 a gallon).

Puccini’s (116th and I69) Located next to a starbucks, this is good north-side pizza and some of the best calzone’s I have ever tasted. No wood fire oven, but with pizza this cool –who needs it?

Camile’s sidewalk café (across from SuperTarget, north of 116th). Who needs Panera (well if you want to walk away with a loaf, maybe). This place serves good desserts, and great sandwiches. The place seems to be a little bit of a California fusion.

Greek’s pizza If only greek would put Gyro meat on his pizza. Regardless this pizza is more traditional then the “nuvo” pizza at Puccini’s. Still, they make great pizza and a fantastic sauce. No need to drive down to Papa John’s.

Wouldn’t be caught dead at

Papa Johns, Dominos, Steak N’ Sheak, O Charlies, Dicks bodacious barbeque, house of pancake (bad egg shell incident), Mcdonalds, Wendys, Chinese Buffet,
