With a subscription to zagat.com in hand. . .and a frommers Paris guide (2002) my restaurant searching has begun.
So far top of the list? The experience that would be Tour D'Argent. A restaurant has resided in this location since 1532 and has been Tour D'Argent since . . .well I dont' know but for some long time.
The restaurant boosts a beautiful view of the seine river from the Latin quarter. I believe this is the restaurant pointed out on the boat tour (though I'm sure there are multiple expensive restaurants overlooking the seine from the Latin quarter?)
Anyway. . . the food is ranked high on zagat (23 out of 30) and the decor (28 out of 30) so I think, if I can get reservations, this will be an experience.
